A swipe file of coaching nudges

Six short messages for the moments a dashboard surfaces — copy, tweak, send. Warm and specific, never preachy.

Coaching For leaders Slack

When a dashboard flags who needs a nudge, the hard part isn’t knowing — it’s finding words that land without sounding like HR. Steal these. The whole rule: name the specific thing, offer help, drop the lecture.

Someone stalled partway

Quick one, you’re halfway through the data-handling module and it’s due Friday. It’s about six minutes. Knock it out when you get a sec and you’re done: [link]

Someone failed the check

Saw you finished the training, thanks. The PII section trips a lot of people up; want to grab 10 minutes this week so it’s not just a checkbox? No big deal, I just want you covered.

Someone flagged a risky habit in their answer

Thanks for being honest in that reflection. The thing you mentioned about exporting to a local file, let’s find you a sanctioned way to do that so you’re not exposed. Not a gotcha, promise.

A great answer worth reinforcing

Your response on the breach question was exactly right. Mind walking through it in standup? Other folks would learn from how you thought about it.

Re-engaging someone who’s gone quiet

No agenda, I’ve just missed a bit of your spark lately and wanted to check in. Got 15 minutes this week?

A digest for your team channel

Data Handling: we’re 7 of 12 done with 3 days left. Two scores worth a quick chat (I’ll DM you), four still to go. Thanks all, it’s ~6 minutes if you haven’t yet.

Why these work (and where they came from)

Each one follows the same skeleton: the specific observation first (so it reads as attention, not surveillance), the ask sized in minutes, and an explicit de-escalation (“not a gotcha”) wherever the data touched something sensitive. They’re distilled from the coaching patterns in the TeamPulse demo — the reflections in that roster are the kinds of honest answers these messages are built to protect.
